Where are Ashleigh's Case Files?

A question we heard time and time again while producing Season One of Love & Justice was: “Can we see the case files?”

The reality is, there are no publicly released case files beyond a limited incident report. Because Ashleigh Love’s case remains an open investigation, the majority of materials have never been made available to the public.

It is also classified as a cold case, which means the investigation is still active, but without new leads or recent developments to move it forward on a consistent basis. Law enforcement retains the case, and any new information has the potential to shift its direction.

The lack of accessible evidence can be frustrating - for the public, for those following the case, and especially for Ashleigh’s family. It creates a gap between what people want to understand and what can currently be shared. But it also reinforces an important reality: this case is still open, and new information - no matter how small - can still play a role in moving it forward.

If you have information to share, you can submit a tip through our podcast, directly to the Milwaukee Police Department, or via MPD Crime Stoppers. You can remain anonymous.
