Driven by Love. Committed to Justice.

Since its debut in 2022, LOVE & JUSTICE has reached over five million listeners across more than 45 countries. The series quickly gained traction, debuting on Apple’s Top 200 charts and rising into the Top 25 in the United States, while also ranking within the Top 100 in over 25 countries.

In 2023, LOVE & JUSTICE earned a WEBBY Award nomination. The following year, it was nominated for the IMPACT Award at CrimeCon UK. Most notably, Biography named LOVE & JUSTICE one of the Top 15 Best True Crime Podcasts of All Time, placing it alongside some of the most recognized titles in the genre.

The response to Season 1 extended far beyond listenership. New information surfaced from the public, online communities formed around the case, and the Milwaukee Police Department reengaged with key elements of the investigation. The case also gained renewed visibility through a billboard near the Milwaukee Public Zoo, made possible with support from Season of Justice. The reward for information more than doubled, and after more than a decade, Ashleigh’s personal photos (which were collected during the initial investigation and held for over a decade) were finally returned to her family.

These outcomes reinforced what LOVE & JUSTICE set out to do: bring people together around cases that still carry unanswered questions.

In Season 2, that approach carries forward with the 2001 death of UC Davis student Andrew Wieman. With the addition of new experts, expanded perspectives, and voices tied to the original events, the investigation looks more closely at the evidence and the conclusions that followed - reexamining a case where key questions have persisted over time. By revisiting the case with the perspective of 25 years, the series works to better understand the events themselves, the decisions made at the time, and the areas that may not have been fully explored.
